The #1 goal in successful website design and implementation is to fully understand the user and their needs. Knowing how, where and why they’ll be using the site is key for not only design but for how the message is laid out.
That message is the business’s story they want to tell their consumers. Consumers, we must remember, means humans. Humans want to feel seen, heard and ultimately want connection. Whether your website is selling teddy bears or selling multi-site electrical rollouts to huge companies like CUSITech (above), the website speaks to someone understanding the story in their own way.
I do a deep dive into understanding a company’s story when executing website design. Matching style branding is essential, but what’s going to make the story really speak is using a business’s mission, values, history and future goals to understand the needs of their exact site user and potential client.
